1) How can I submit a Letter to the Editor?
The Eagle encourages letters to the editor. No more than one letter per writer will be printed each 30 days. Letters should be no more than 300 words and are subject to editing for length, clarity, libel and good taste. For additional requirements, limitations and submission information, click here. 2) How can I find previously published articles?
You can search for previously published articles by using the "Search" box located in the blue bar at the top of each page directly beneath the theeagle.com logo or by using our online archive search function. Our archive includes local stories dating back to March 2000, as well as online coverage of the 1999 Bonfire collapse.

For articles published prior to 2000, the best source of local archives is the Bryan Public Library. The can be reached by calling (979) 209-5600 or through their website at http://www.bcslibrary.org/

3) How can I get a copy of an article or photo?
You can download or print a copy of an article for personal, non-commercial use from theeagle.com. To find an article, use our online archive search function. Our archive includes local stories dating back to March 2000, as well as online coverage of the 1999 Bonfire collapse.

Reprints of photographs and full pages are now available for purchase through our web site. (back to top)

4) How can I can permission to reprint an article in my publication?
All content of theeagle.com is ©1998 - 2007 The Bryan-College Station Eagle. So, to reproduce or reprint any part of theeagle.com or The Bryan-College Station Eagle, you must submit your request in writing before you use it.

Your request should specify:
• The story you want to reproduce
• The date it was published
• The headline
• The writer's name
• How you intend to use it

5) Why aren't all of the articles in the printed edition available online?
Our syndication agreements with a number of larger newspapers and news services do not grant us the right to republish their articles and/or columns online. Many of these articles are used in weekly sections, such as Food, Spotlight, and Health & Fitness.

Additionally, some daily news articles which appear in the print edition of The Eagle may not be available online if they come from one of these sources. When available, Associated Press coverage or other alternate versions of those stories are substituted online. (back to top)

6) How can I get a copy of an article that was not published online?
The Eagle has back copies of the printed edition of the paper from the past 60 days available for purchase. For more information about purchasing back copies, see Question #7 (below). (back to top)

7) How can I purchase a back copy of The Eagle?
The Eagle has back copies of the printed edition of the paper from the past 60 days available for purchase at thew newsstand price (50¢ per copy for weekday and Saturday issues and for $1.25 per copy for Sunday issues). Copies of previously published editions of The Eagle are limited in number and subject to availability.

To purchase a back copy of The Eagle, visit our office at 1729 Briarcrest in Bryan (across from the Galleria Building) during normal business hours - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. (back to top)

9) Where can I find classified advertisments online?
The Eagle's classified advertisements are available online at http://classifieds.theeagle.com. For information about placing a classifed advertisement, click here. (back to top)

10) Where can I find obituaries online?
Obituaries, death notices, in memoriams and cards of thanks can be found in our obituaries section. Obituaries will remain online for one year and available at our office for viewing for two years (copies are available for purchase for 60 days). Any obituary older than two years may be found on microfilm at the Bryan Public Library. (back to top)

11) How can I place a paid obituary?
Obituaries may be e-mailed to obits@theeagle.com, faxed to 979-774-0496 or brought by our office. The deadline for submission is 4 p.m. To inquiry about pricing, photographs, etc., please contact our obituary department at 979-731-4730. (back to top)

12) Where can I find engagement, wedding and anniversary announcements online?
Paid engagement, wedding and anniversary announcements can be found in our announcements section. Please note: not all announcements which appear in the printed edition of The Eagle appear online. Online announcements are available at the discretion of the purchaser. (back to top)

14) Where can I find birth announcements online?
Births are printed in The Bryan-College Station Eagle as a free public service. The information is provided by local health care facilities. This information is generally published 1-2 times a week and is available in the Local News section. To search for previous birth announcements, use our online search function with the name of the parent(s). The Eagle does not offer paid birth announcements at this time. (back to top)

The Eagle's coverage of local high school and junior high sports can be found at brazossports.com. Coverage of local recreation events, outdoors sports and Blinn athletics are available in TheEagle.com's Sports section. (back to top)

27) How can I submit information for Recreation Roundup?
Recreation Roundup is devoted to sports activities that are not high school-sanctioned, college-sanctioned, hunting or fishing. Recreation Roundup generally runs once a week, but may be published more or less often depending on space availability.

Information can be mailed to: Recreation Sports, The Bryan-College Station Eagle, P.O. Box 3000, Bryan, Texas, 77805, faxed at (979) 776-8923 or e-mailed to sports@theeagle.com. No information will be taken over the phone. The deadline is Friday at 5 p.m. for publication the following week. Due to to space issues, information may be held several weeks before publication.

Pictures will be considered on merit and quality for publication in the printed edition of The Eagle. Team pictures should be those of divisional winners or tournament champions, and a team’s picture cannot have appeared within 31 days. Individual pictures will be accepted for first- or second-place efforts.

Recreation photos do not appear in the online edition of Recreation Roundup on TheEagle.com. (back to top)

29) How can I submit a sports birthday?
If you know of someone sports-related in the Brazos Valley about to have a birthday, please fax, e-mail or mail us the name, what sport and where. Please also include the date and year of birth. The person must be at least 13 years old.

Send faxes to Robert Cessna at (979) 776-8923. Do not fax pictures, they must be mailed or e-mailed in. Birthday information and photos can be e-mailed to sports@theeagle.com. Please send pictures in jpeg format. Pictures WILL NOT be returned.
